  • Bali Might Be a Long Flight Away - But is an Excellent Destination For a Spectacular Holiday

    Tuesday, June 16, 2009 · 6 comments

    By Olly Symonds
A stunning island in Indonesia, Bali is renowned all over the world for being welcoming, diverse and incredibly beautiful. If you are looking to get away from the daily grind and head to a place of pure escapism then Bali is the ultimate choice. Balinese life takes many sophisticated and diverse forms and if you want to truly immerse yourself in it then hiring self-catering holiday rentals will allow you to do so. Bali is an ideal holiday location for food lovers and there is a huge choice of eating options, particularly when you are staying in holiday rental accommodation.
There is a diverse and impressive range of markets on offer so for every meal you can choose to eat as locally or as internationally as you wish. Even if you aren't buying the food the marketplaces are buzzing and colourful! Ubud is the cultural epicentre of Bali and it is a must-see, particularly if this is your choice for holiday rentals. This the best place to absorb the island's cultural heritage. It is from here that different strands of Balinese culture resonate outwards and these are as diverse as painting, sculpture, woodcarving, handcrafts, and performing arts. Music and dance are also important in Balinese culture and their percussion orchestra music, or gamelan, is varied and highly developed. Traditional dances portray stories from Hindu epics such as the Ramayana - and there are dozens of famous Balinese dances including pendet, legong, baris, topeng, barong, and kecak (the monkey dance). Perhaps you could join in and try some of the dances for yourself!

Although Bali can seem like a long way away it is absolutely worth the extra flight time. And if you stay in self-catering holiday rentals it does not have to be expensive. Whatever type of holiday you're planning the island will surprise and delight you. This is the kind of magical island where you will find what you were looking for, even if you weren't sure what that was! If culture isn't your thing do not worry because visitors to Bali have access to some of the finest beaches in the region. When relaxation is the aim of the game you can venture from your villa to bask in the sun, unwind on the sand and bathe in the warm sea. There are few places in the world more idyllic than holiday rentals on a beach in Bali at sunset. If you fancy a little more activity then hiring a four wheel drive vehicle is an excellent way to see the island properly. If you travel inland you can see the famous rice terraces and ancient temples. Balinese inhabitants also hold spectacular festivals which are entertaining and full of life and will make your visit genuinely memorable. Wherever you have been during the day one thing is certain - that you will return satisfied and exhilarated to your holiday rentals property where you can reflect at leisure on what you have seen. It is likely to have been pretty special.

I've just searching information about flight to Bali in ezinearticles.com, and found out a very interesting article written by Matt Verbaan. I think it's a very important information for you who looking for information about flight to Bali, especially for you who lives in USA, Europe and Australia, and want to take a trip to Bali for your holiday. I recommend you to find out more detail information you need in his site.

The Fastest Flights to Bali From the USA, Europe and Australia
    By Matt Verbaan

There are numerous flights to Bali and depending on where you are coming from it can take just a couple of hours or almost a tour around the world. For those travellers coming from the USA it must be one hell of a flight since it takes almost 24 hours to get to this beautiful island.

As you might have expected already there are unfortunately no direct flights to Bali from any of the airports in the USA. If you travel from New York the best option is to fly to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific or American Airlines and then transfer on a flight with Hong Kong Express Airways straight to Bali. This 'fast' option will take approximately 22 h 15 minutes.

From San Francisco it takes surprisingly 21 hours with Delta Air Lines (operated by China Airlines) where you have to make a stop-over at Taipei before continuing your journey to Bali with China Airlines.

Flights to Bali from Los Angeles go through Singapore if you're looking for the fastest option. It will take you 21 h 35 minutes to fly to Bali. Flights from Los Angeles to Singapore are operated by Singapore Airlines and the last stretch is operated by Garuda Indonesia.

Unfortunately there are no direct flights from Europe to Bali either. If you're coming from Amsterdam the fastest option for you is to take KLM to Kuala Lumpur and then transfer here on an AirAsia flight to Bali. Total flight time is approximately 16 h 25 minutes.

London Heathrow flights to Bali are operated by British Airways to Singapore from where Singapore Airlines flies the last stretch to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali. This is also the fastest option and will take you around 16 h 30 minutes.

The best option to take from Frankfurt am Main airport is to fly with Lufthansa or Singapore Airlines to Singapore with a connecting flight to Bali. This will take 16 h 20 minutes. For flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Bali it's the same; take Singapore Airlines and it will save you lots of time.

Luckily for the Australians there are direct flights to Bali from the following Australian cities; Darwin with flights operated by Airnorth, Qantas and Garuda Indonesia (2h 30), Perth with flights operated by Ozjet, Qantas and Garuda Indonesia (3 h 35), Melbourne with flights operated by Jetstar, Qantas and Garuda Indonesia.(6hours)

From Sydney there are also direct flights operated by Jetstar and Qantas and the fastest flying time is 6 h 25 minutes.

Have a save trip and see you on the beautiful island of Bali!

Kuta an Amazing Sunset Beach in Bali

    Monday, June 1, 2009 · 4 comments

Kuta Beach is a very popular place that attracts tourists from all over the world. Kuta Beach is an amazing place for relaxing and having a fun. Kuta Beach with golden sand and swaying palm trees is very very good place to relax, especially during the sunset when the sky turns into a deep-red or purple colour. You will be amazed to watch the stunning sunset at the beach. Yes, Kuta Beach is very famous in the world of its sunset.

If you are a swimming lover, Kuta Beach is also a good place to go for a swim, even
it has big waves. However before you jump into the sea for a swim you have to look left and right first, make sure that the red flags don't visible on the beach. If the red flags visible on the beach it means dangerous and no one alowed to go for a swim.

Kuta Beach with its big waves is also very good place for surfing. There are many surf boards there that you can rent. If you haven't surfed yet before, you can ask a surf instructor to get a lesson of surfing. He will teach you how to stand on a surf board. Or you can choose a Balinese surfer at the beach who will show you how to do it. If you are an expired surfer, you can go wild and crazy surfing here.

However the most interesting thing for me is its sunset. It is so beautiful during the sunset when the sky turns into a deep-red or purple colour. It is an unforgettable experience for me to watch the sunset at Kuta Beach.
